The American musician Kanye West, who is well-known for his candid opinions about Israel, is currently embroiled in a scandal after his name was discovered on a missile that was headed toward Gaza.
Israeli mixed martial artist Haim Gozali claims credit for the action, reigniting debate about the Israel-Palestine issue.
On social media, a photo of American musician Kanye West’s name inscribed on an Israeli missile intended for use against Gaza has gone viral. Haim Gozali, an Israeli mixed martial artist, has taken credit for the act, which has drawn a lot of criticism.
The mixed-martial artist Haim Gozali posted a picture of multiple massive missiles positioned on a platform on X on Monday. The words “Kanye West flying to Gaza” are scribbled in marker on one of the weapons, making fun of the rapper’s previous anti-Semitic comments.
He wrote while sharing the photo, “@kanyewest, you don’t like us Jewish. So we don’t like you too!!!”
Gozali received anti-Israeli names scrawled on the artillery in addition to Kanye West. These include the identities of Muslim UFC fighters Belal Muhammad, Islam Makhachev, Khamzat Chimaev, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, as well as those of other pro-Palestinian individuals.
Since then, Kanye West has expressed regret to the Jewish community. The rapper apologized in Hebrew to the Jewish community on Tuesday for his previous antisemitic statements, expressing regret for any hurt they may have caused and a desire for forgiveness.
“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused…I did not mean to upset anyone,” the musician stated in Hebrew on Instagram.
Notably, the musician caused controversy last year when he posted several antisemitic things on social media. Among them were claims that musician Sean “Diddy” Combs was under the influence of “the Jewish people” and an image that purported to depict a swastika inside a Star of David.
An Israeli MMA Fighter Took Responsibility for the Writing
Gozali’s writing of prominent anti-Israel celebrities’ names on missiles and explosives has been generating attention. The mixed martial arts fighter put Khabib Nurmagomedov’s name on a bomb in November as a way to show support for Palestine.
Gozali has put the names of numerous other Muslim combatants, such as Islam Makhachev, Khamzat Chimaev, and Belal Muhammad, on bombs that are used against military bases.
The 50-year-old Israeli recently returned to X, where it was rumored that he had been barred, and he attacked Kanye West for using antisemitic lyrics in his songs throughout the previous year.
Gozali dubbed the Israeli Batman, claimed credit for the message that said, “Kanye West Flying to Gaza,” mentioning Kanye West’s name, and released a photo of the rapper’s identity encrypted on a missile on X.
View this post on InstagramIt’s still unclear, though, if Haim wrote the message on the rocket or if other IDF members did. However, Gozali has acknowledged his role in the incident. However, US singer Kanye West has not yet responded to the MMA fighter’s call-out.
